Katherine A. Still, B.A., LL. B.

Katherine’s 25 years of experience as a family law practitioner has earned her a well-deserved reputation as a compassionate and effective advocate.

Katherine’s practice includes the negotiation and finalization of domestic contracts, child-related issues such as custody, access and support, spousal support, property division, divorce, and family adoptions. Her approach is to support her clients to resolve their legal issues in a dignified and respectful way. As well, as a result of her sixteen years representing children as a panel lawyer with the Office of the Children’s Lawyer she brings a sensitive and child-focussed view to every case.

Katherine is also very pleased to work with her clients in the Collaborative Family Law Process, a client-centered approach which allows separating couples to make their own choices.  Katherine is an Executive Member of York Collaborative Practice and a certified Collaborative Practice Trainer.

Katherine sits as a Dispute Resolution Officer in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Family Court in Newmarket where she assists litigants in early stage resolution of their disputes.

Katherine is also a qualified family law mediator.

Katherine lives in Aurora with her two children.  Outside the law office she enjoys singing with the York Region Community Choir, dogs and fitness.
